02 · What Data This Site Collects
This website is designed to collect as little personal data as possible. There are no tracking scripts, no analytics tools, no advertising networks, and no third-party embeds that would receive your data.
Personal data is only processed in two situations, described below.
03 · Contact via Email or Contact Form
What is collected
When you contact me — whether via the contact form on this website or directly by email — I receive the information you choose to provide: typically your name, email address, and the content of your message.
Why and how long
This data is used solely to respond to your enquiry and, if relevant, to conduct the professional relationship that follows. It is stored in my email inbox and is not shared with any third party. I retain correspondence for as long as it remains professionally relevant, typically no longer than 3 years after the last contact.
Legal basis
Processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR — it is necessary for taking steps prior to entering into a contract — and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR — my legitimate interest in being able to respond to professional enquiries.
IO-Link Readiness Assessment results
If you use the IO-Link Readiness Assessment on this website and choose to send me your results, those results are transmitted via your own email client directly to my inbox. The assessment itself runs entirely in your browser — no result data is sent to any server unless you explicitly click the "Send Results by Email" button and dispatch the email yourself.
04 · Hosting & Server Logs
This website is hosted by a third-party hosting provider. Like all web servers, the hosting provider's infrastructure automatically records certain technical data each time a page is requested. This typically includes:
IP address of the requesting device · date and time of the request · URL requested · HTTP status code · browser type and version · referring URL (if any)
These server logs are kept for a short period (typically 7–14 days) for security and diagnostic purposes by the hosting provider. I do not actively access or analyse these logs. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR — the legitimate interest of the hosting provider in maintaining a secure and functional service.
If you wish to know the identity of the hosting provider and their data processing details, please contact me and I will provide this information.
05 · Cookies & Tracking
This website does not use cookies. It does not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other tracking or analytics tool. No data about your visit is shared with advertising platforms or data brokers.
The website's fonts are self-hosted, meaning no request is made to Google Fonts servers or any other font CDN when you load a page. Your IP address is not shared with any font provider.
Because no cookies are set and no tracking occurs, no cookie consent banner is required or displayed.
06 · Your Rights Under GDPR
If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the following rights regarding any personal data I hold about you:
Right of access
You may request confirmation of whether I process personal data about you, and if so, a copy of that data.
Right to rectification
You may request that inaccurate data be corrected.
Right to erasure
You may request that I delete personal data about you, subject to any legal retention obligations.
Right to restriction
You may request that I restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances.
Right to object
Where processing is based on legitimate interests, you have the right to object. I will then cease processing unless there are compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests.
Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. In Sweden this is the Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY). In Cyprus it is the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact me at info@nextlevel-automation.eu. I will respond within 30 days.
